is the author of seven plays, including three full-length plays and
four ten-minute one-acts. His ten-minute comedy OUT, OUT won Best Play
Overall and Best Director at the 2009 Play-in-a-Day 24-Hour Play
Festival in Bethesda, MD. FANATICS, OR THE VAMPIRE HUNTERS’ GUILD OF
ORLANDO, FLORIDA: 2ND CHARTER, was given a reading at the Kennedy
Center Page-to-Stage Festival in Washington, D.C. in 2009. Another
full-length play, BUTCHERS, A LOVE STORY, had a developmental workshop
and staged reading with the State of Play Theatre in New York in April
2009, a reading at the Ganymede Arts Theatre Fall Festival in September
2008 in Washington, D.C., and was a semi-finalist at the HotCity
Theatre Greenhouse New Play Festival, St. Louis, MO. A ten-minute play,
MAINTENANCE, has been produced at the Source Festival in Washington,
D.C., the Berea Quilt Play Festival in Berea, KY, and the HB
Playwrights Theatre in New York City as part the Holiday Plays, in
addition to being selected for the 2008 Spring Short Play Festival at
the 13th Street Repertory Theatre in New York. Nathan has a BFA in
Musical Theatre and has studied playwriting with Lucy Thurber at
Primary Stages, Meredith McDonough at the Play Development Collective,
and Donna de Matteo at HB Studios. |
